Sinopsis:
The German occupation of Denmark surprises Charlie Rivel and his family while touring in Copenhagen. Hitler´s government forces him to return to Berlin to comply with the contracts he had signed with Berlin theatres. Success is unstoppable, and he becomes one of the most acclaimed stars of the Reich. In 1944, Krauss, a Gestapo agent, asks him to prepare a performance for the Fürher’s birthday party they are organising. The situation becomes even more uncomfortable when Krauss confesses his personal admiration fort he clown and his intention to take part in the performance. Charlie Rivel and his acting partner Witzi are unsure as to whether to accept, but they are forced to submit to Krauss wishes.

Following Witzi’s deportation, and the introduction of the new partner Golo, make the tables turn; Hitler’s life will be threatened, which may alter the course of the war and the history of humanity.
